5. Breeding Policy
(wef – 01-11-2001)
• Selective Breeding of Indigenous breeds in the home tract – Malvi in
Mava tract, Nimari in Nimar region and Kenkatha in ken valley in Panna district.
• Up- gradation of local cattle by know indigenous breeds viz. Hariyana, Tharparkar
and Sahiwal etc.
• Cross- breeding with exotic blood level. Maintanance of Blood level up to
50% in general & for organised farms may be up to 62.50%.
• Buffalo Breeding with Murrah in general. In selected areas of Western MP
(adjoining to South Gujrat) with Jafarabadi if owner desires. In areas of Bhind
district and adjoining areas with Bhadavari Breed
